Reservations.

Lansdowne is currently evaluating the reservation: processes, payments, and procedures. Updates will be sent to the family. For now our current process is as follows:

  • Summer reservations are requested shortly after January 1 and remain open through February 1. During that time, family members are invited to submit preferred dates and cabin requests. After the reservation window closes, a schedule is established that allows each family to receive all — or as much as possible — of what they have requested.

  • Once reservations are confirmed, we ask that they be treated as firm. Lansdowne’s operating budget is built around confirmed reservations and the revenue they provide, which remains the ranch’s primary source of seasonal income. (Annual family subsidies help cover fixed costs, while reservations support the season itself.)

  • Should plans change, please notify the team as early as possible and no later than one month before the start of the season. June 1 serves as the final deadline for summer schedule changes.

  • Refunds for unused reservations are granted only for medical reasons. Families traveling from out of town are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance to protect against delays or cancellations. If you are able to fill an unused room or reservation, you remain entitled to a refund. Because travel to Jackson can be difficult and replacement guests are rarely found, families should request rooms thoughtfully and be prepared to honor confirmed reservations.

  • Please indicate bedroom preferences when booking, including requests for king beds. King beds are commonly available in the White Cabin and Parking Lot Cabin, while the downstairs bedrooms in the New House may also be configured as kings. Due to room arrangements, king setups are not offered in the Main Cabin.

  • Please include the ages of all children when making reservations.

  • Please include the number of “family” and “non - family” members when making a reservation

  • Reservations involving all cabins — including weddings and larger house parties — should be requested at least one year in advance and are encouraged outside July and August, when family use is highest. Requests for all cabins assume the intention to occupy most or all bedrooms. To preserve access for others, families should avoid spreading unnecessarily across cabins in ways that limit availability.

  • Dietary requests should be discussed directly with the cook well in advance of arrival. This link takes you to a spot to text our chef. (We may be adding a form in the future for future dietary particulars, for now, communication is the first step.)

  • Winter reservations are requested in early fall and follow the same general process. Out-of-season stays are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
